Horse Riding Adventures and Holidays with Zara's Planet

We are an Irish owned and managed family business with a passion for travel and horses.  We are fully bonded and licensed with the Commission for Aviation (no:0643) which means your money is safe if we run into financial difficulty.  We specialise in horse riding holidays that cater for all ages, couples, singles and families but we also provide tailor made trips of all sorts and pride ourselves in personal client care so please ask us with any requests you might have.

We provide a very personalised service - we're all well travelled and have a wealth of horse experience between us.

We can help you choose the perfect riding holiday and can offer you an assessment & training in our custom built sand arena in Dublin 24 if you are not sure what level of riding holiday would suit you.  Assessments cost Euros30 per person and private training costs Euros50 per hour.

The Directors

Zara Stassin - MD & Founder (Ireland)

Zara has always had a passion for travel and at last count visited and lived in 37 countries. She grew up with show ponies often breaking, schooling and riding ponies in for a top UK producer. After school she worked on stud farms in Belgium before settling into corporate life where she worked in IT and Travel for Irish companies for over 15 years, most recently as MD of a $500million travel agency in New York. In 2005 she established Zara's Planet and moved back to Ireland. Zara's also a 'Pony Club' mum - at weekends, you'll find her trotting off round Ireland with her girls and their hunter ponies, doing shows, cross country and one day events.  When she gets the chance she fits in the odd day of hunting in Ireland.

Jill Dolan - MD (UK)

Jill and her family are heavily involved with horses on a day to day basis, competing regularly in showing competitions across the country. The family's biggest win to date was 'Horse of the Year Show' in the nineties with their 15hh Show Hunter, 'Mr Pemberton'. Jill's other passion is travel, and when the summer months of competition are over she chills out by travelling to far off and distant places to satisfy her urge. Prior to launching Zara's Planet in the UK, Jill spent 15 years in the corporate world, as the Director of a highly successful media agency, representing brands that included the Daily Mail, Independent newspapers, Virgin Radio, Elle & Red Magazine. 

Laura Dolan - Associate Director

Laura and Jill are sisters and Jill has been urging Laura to leave her corporate job, specialising in Horse Insurance to join the Zara's Planets team ever since the company launched in the UK. And at last she's made the move - Laura is big into horses too, and is currently showing her Riding Horse, Landrick in Lightweight Hunter classes. Laura has expert training and experience in dealing with sales and customer relations, and shares the same passion for travelling as Jill.
